I approach research holistically, ensuring that insights are captured across the full product development lifecycle – from identifying the types of people who buy or use a specific product or service, to evaluating how it then performs in the real world.

Identifying how people discover, evaluate and buy products and services.

Mainly quantitative research

Supporting marketing stakeholders by providing insights on customer demographics, preferences, needs and buying habits that are then used to identify potential markets.

How people use

Uncovering how (and why) people use certain features products and services.

Mainly qualitative research

Supporting design stakeholders by uncovering user intentions, needs and behaviours that are then used to inform product design and strategy.

How products perform

Evaluating product performance in the world before and after launch

A mix of both

Supporting product stakeholders by evaluating quality and performance issues with respect to functionality, usability, reliability and compatibility.

How i do it

Depending on the needs of your organization, I plan, design and conduct qualitative and quantitative research studies across the problem space and the solution space.

In the problem space, I focus on identifying and defining the problems that your organization is trying to solve. And in the solution space, I evaluate and analyze solutions that have been created to address those problems.
